The Marz Story
Marz Painting is a family legacy. Mario Smith — Marz to everyone who knows him — picked up a paintbrush at 15 years old, working alongside his father. That was 1989. Over the next three and a half decades, Mario mastered every aspect of the painting trade — from Victorian homes in the Bay Area to new construction in Sacramento’s growing neighborhoods.
He founded Marz Painting in 2004 and has served hundreds of satisfied clients across the greater Sacramento area. Between Mario, his father, and his foreman, the Marz crew brings 120 years of combined painting experience to every job.
Mario is veteran-owned and operated. He’s earned a Thumbtack Top Pro badge, Yelp Guaranteed status, and over 80 five-star reviews across every platform. He’s ranked in the top 7% of all California contractors on BuildZoom. He uses only premium products — no shortcuts, no cheap materials, no cutting corners.
